Reverend Dr. M. Andrew Davis serves as the pastor of Zion Baptist Church, Columbia, South Carolina. Having over ten years of experience in the ministry, he became the shepherd of this flock in November 2017.
A second generation preacher, Reverend Dr. M. Andrew Davis answered his call into ministry and preached his initial sermon on July 16, 2006, under the leadership of Reverend Lennon Parson, Sr., of West Rocky Ford Missionary Baptist Church, in Wadesboro, North Carolina.
Reverend Davis also served as Youth Pastor at Manasseh Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina.
While at Manasseh, his ministry included profound and sustaining innovations that were and remain beneficial to the congregation. In July 2008, Reverend Dr. M. Andrew Davis became the fifteenth pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Ansonville, North Carolina.
Reverend Dr. M. Andrew Davis was instrumental in influencing the Ansonville community fellowship for the greater good through his commitment to increased, sustainable ministry and by remaining an unwavering presence in the community in which he was raised, demonstrating God’s love for all people.
Reverend Dr. M. Andrew Davis has presented in local Baptist Associations, the SC Congress of Christian Education, the Progressive National Convention, and several College institutions. Reverend Davis was appointed Historian of SC E&M Convention in 2018. Reverend Dr. M. Andrew Davis has worked intensively gathering the rich history of the SC E&M Convention in particular vital information from former Presidents of the SC E&M Convention.
Featured in media outlets such as Ebony Magazine and CNN, among others, Reverend Dr. M. Andrew Davis has addressed social concerns and political concerns as an ecclesiastical leader. In 2019, he was selected to become apart of the Lott Carey Thriving and Striving in Pilgrimage for Pastors under 40.
As Reverend Dr. M. Andrew Davis maneuvers on his journey with tenacity and fortitude to serve regardless of his human flaws, he continues to “press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high call of God in Christ Jesus,” (Philippians 3:14) and he steadfastly remains a man after God’s heart.
